Acting Shaw
This is a by-invitation only class which focuses on the suppression of emotion through wit and societal ritual - and applying that to the action in the world of the play.
Acting Shaw requires a heightened sense of language - grappling with a logic you don't find in everyday speech. Our focus is on Shaw's speeches and the justification for the sermonizing, with special attention paid to the comic, the dramatic, and the social corrective that gives Shaw's comedies their special flavor.
