Acting Chekhov
This is a by-invitation only class which focuses on the juxtaposition of subtext and words in Chekhov's plays - and applying that to the action in the world of the play.
Our focus is on character and the world of the play, unearthing the human comedy inherent in his plays.
- Text: An Actor Prepares and Creating a Role
- Scene Work: Two person scenes from the 5 Chekhov Plays: Ivanov, The Seagull, The Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya and The Cherry Orchard.
- Exercises: Script Analysis, Sensory, Given Circumstances, Communion, Silly and Grotesque.
